Keto Bagels
Keto bagels made bearing in mind low carb ingredients including almond flour and mozzarella cheese, topped later a homemade whatever bagel seasoning mix. It's a "fathead" dough recipe that's simple to make, low carb, and gluten-free.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (170 g or 6 oz wt.)
- 1 cup blanched almond flour (113 g or 4 oz wt.)
- 2 tbsp cream cheese (28 g or 1 oz wt.)
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- Seasoning mix (Or Use Seasoning Of Choice):
- 1 tbsp dried temperate minced onion
- 2 tsp poppy seeds
- 2 tsp white sesame seeds
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 F. Prepare a baking sheet lined when parchment paper or a nonstick silicone baking mat.
- In a little bowl, add all seasoning blend ingredients and work up until well-mixed.
- In a large heatproof bowl, grow almond flour, approximately two-thirds of the seasoning mix, and baking powder. stir until well-mixed.
- Add mozzarella cheese and cream cheese to the same bowl. Microwave for 45 seconds, stir, and microwave for substitute 45 seconds or until the cheese is melted. disconcert until the combination forms a smooth dough.
- Add the egg to the same bowl, working it in until absorbed and well-mixed. If easier, use your hands to knead after the dough is frosty ample to handle.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. touch each piece into a log very nearly 6 inches long, and count up the ends to form a bagel shape. the area the bagels at least 1 inch apart on the prepared lined baking sheet.
