Easy Chinese Pepper Steak Recipe

This pepper steak stir fry is thinly sliced flank steak cooked with red and green bell peppers in a savory sauce. A quick and easy meal that tastes even better than take out!

Ingredients

  • 1 tbspn vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper (seeded, cut into strips)
  • 1 green bell pepper (seeded, cut into strips)
  • 1 1/4 pound flank steak (sliced)
  • 1 1/2 tbspns cornstarch
  • 2 tspns minced garlic
  • 1 tspn minced ginger
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbspns sugar

Instructions

  1. First, start by heating 1 tsp of vegetable oil, use medium heat and a large skillet.
  2. After that, add the paprika, cook for 3 minutes, after that, remove the paprika from the pan, place it on a plate.
  3. Add the remaining oil to the pan, seasoning the steak with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. After that, increase the heat to high, place the steak slices into the pan, then cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Add ginger and garlic, cook again for 30 seconds.
  6. Put the peppers back in the pan, then use a small bowl, stir in soy sauce, sugar, 1/4 cup water, and cornstarch.
  7. Pour the sauce over the mixture and bring to a boil, cook for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Serve on the table with rice.
