Easy Chinese Pepper Steak Recipe
This pepper steak stir fry is thinly sliced flank steak cooked with red and green bell peppers in a savory sauce. A quick and easy meal that tastes even better than take out!
Ingredients
- 1 tbspn vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper (seeded, cut into strips)
- 1 green bell pepper (seeded, cut into strips)
- 1 1/4 pound flank steak (sliced)
- 1 1/2 tbspns cornstarch
- 2 tspns minced garlic
- 1 tspn minced ginger
- salt and pepper
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tbspns sugar
Instructions
- First, start by heating 1 tsp of vegetable oil, use medium heat and a large skillet.
- After that, add the paprika, cook for 3 minutes, after that, remove the paprika from the pan, place it on a plate.
- Add the remaining oil to the pan, seasoning the steak with salt and pepper to taste.
- After that, increase the heat to high, place the steak slices into the pan, then cook for 5 minutes.
- Add ginger and garlic, cook again for 30 seconds.
- Put the peppers back in the pan, then use a small bowl, stir in soy sauce, sugar, 1/4 cup water, and cornstarch.
- Pour the sauce over the mixture and bring to a boil, cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Serve on the table with rice.
